When the Music Meets the Number One Fan: Matt Jaffe & Lisa's Engagement

You know that rare kind of connection that feels perfectly timed and effortlessly written? The kind of couple that just fits together, where one's laugh instantly triggers the other's smile? That is Matt and Lisa in a nutshell.

My journey with them started in a pretty special way. I first met Matt while working as the second photographer for his album cover shoots. As fate would have it, l eventually became his official photographer. And at almost every single show, there was Lisa: incredibly funny, full of energy, and without a doubt, his biggest fan in the crowd.

When it came time for their engagement session, music simply had to be part of the story. I asked Matt to bring his guitar, but l kept a little surprise up my sleeve for the shoot.

At one point, I turned to Lisa and handed her the guitar, asking her to play. Minor detail: she had never picked up his instrument before!

The result? She instantly channeled her inner rockstar! We were all laughing so hard, the energy was pure magic, and those candid moments made for the absolute best photos.
